UPI Payment: Now Non-SBI Account Holders Will Also Be Able To Make UPI Payment Through SBI YONO, Know The Process Of Registration

SBI YONO UPI Payment: State Bank of India, the country’s largest public sector bank, has introduced a new facility to its customers. Now both SBI and non-SBI customers can make Unified Payment Interface (UPI payment) through the bank’s digital banking app YONO. For this the bank has launched a new version of YONO, using which customers of any bank can make UPI payments. In such a case, the account with SBI does not need to make UPI payment through SBI’s YONO.

Giving information about this, State Bank of India has said that even today there are many customers in the country who have more faith in banks than in tech companies. It has a large number of senior citizen customers. In such a situation, keeping those customers in mind, we have decided to start digital payments through YONO. To attract customers from other banks as well, we have decided to provide UPI payment facility through YONO app to non-SBI account holders as well. In such a situation, SBI account is no longer required to use YONO. Using the YONO app will prove to be a big game changer for non-SBI account holders.

UPI What will affect the apps??

SBI is the largest public sector bank in the country. It has crores of account holders across the country. In such a situation, after this decision of the bank, other digital payment apps will surely be affected. Also, after the launch of the facility for other banks’ customers to use YONO, many people will prefer to use the bank’s app instead of the tech companies’ apps.

How to use Yono for UPI Payments-

  1. For this first download SBI Yono app in your mobile.
  2. After this select the option of New to SBI and register now.
  3. Next, select your mobile number option along with the bank account.
  4. After this, after verifying the number, you have to create your UPI ID.
  5. After creating UPI ID, select your bank option.
  6. Then you have to register on SBI Pay, which you have to verify.
  7. After this you have to create a UPI handle and then select UPI.
  8. Then login to your account and set the MPIN.
  9. After setting MPIN, you can use SBI YONO for UPI payment.
