First go to www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in.

You PAN is your User ID, Login. If you forgot the password, reset it.

Go to ‘Downloads’ and select ITR-1 (Sahaj) Return Preparation Software under the relevant year. It will be downloaded in Excel format.

Open the Excel sheet and enter the details attached to Form-16.

Calculate all the details and save this sheet.

Go to ‘Submit Return’ and upload the saved Excel sheet.

You will be asked to upload a digital signature. You can also skip this step.

A successful e-filing submission message will appear on your screen.

ITR verification form will be sent to your registered e-mail id.
