Stock Market Today: The strength of the stock market continued today and based on this the Nifty and Sensex set new records. Sensex touched a new record high of 67,083.42. Along with Sensex, Nifty has also touched new historical levels.
Nifty continues to hit new record highs and touched a high of 19,828.90 as the market opened today.
How the market opened
BSE’s 30-share index Sensex opened up 109.87 points, or 0.16 per cent, at 66,905.01 as the stock market opened today. Apart from this, NSE’s Nifty opened at 19,802.95 with an increase of 53.70 points or 0.27 percent.
IndusInd Bank, NTPC, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Apollo Hospitals and were the top gainers on the Nifty, while Hindalco Industries, Eicher Motors, Cipla, Nestle India and M&M were the top losers.
US stock market moves
After the year 2021, Dow Jones has seen 7 consecutive days of increase. However, there is no major change in stock futures today. Prior to this, the Dow Jones, S&P and Nasdaq have seen gains in normal trading. The Dow closed yesterday up 366 points, the S&P up 0.71% and the Nasdaq up 0.76%.
Asian market
Meanwhile, Asian markets are witnessing mixed business today. The SGX Nifty is down 5.50 points. At the same time, the Nikkei is seen around 32,810.30 with an increase of about 0.96 percent. At the same time, it represents an increase of 0.29 percent in straight times. The Taiwan market is trading down 0.06 percent at 17,224.58. While the Hang Seng is seen at the level of 18,762.74 with a decrease of 1.33 percent. At the same time, the Kospi is trading down 0.19 percent. Heavy buying by foreign investors is seen in the cash market. FIIs bought shares worth Rs 504.66 crore in the cash market on Tuesday. Whereas, DIIA cash market Rs. 195.80 crore shares were bought.
