Stock Market Closing 30th June 2023 Sensex Jumps 803 Ponits Market Cap 296 45 Lakh Crore

Stock Market Closing, 30th June 2023: The last business day of the week saw a huge rally in the Indian stock market. The stock market closed at historic highs today. Sensex and Nifty made new highs. Investors have also benefited from today’s surge. Today’s business day started on a bullish note and ended on a bullish note. Due to which the market cap of BSE increased to Rs. 296.46 lakh crore, which on Wednesday was Rs. 294.13 lakh crore has happened. All the sectors closed in the green today.

Today the Indian stock market index Sensex rose 803.14 points to close at 64718.56 points and Nifty closed at 216.95 points. The market turned green today as investors bought out. About 1865 stocks rose, 1543 stocks fell and 132 stocks remained unchanged. Nifty gainers were M&M, Infosys, IndusInd Bank, Hero MotoCorp and Sun Pharma, while losers were Adani Ports, Divis Laboratories, Adani Enterprises, Apollo Hospitals and Bajaj Auto. The information technology index closed 2.5 percent higher and the PSU bank index 2 percent higher. Auto, capital goods index also rose around 2 percent, BSE midcap and smallcap index gained 0.5 percent.

Sectoral update

In today’s business, shares of banking, auto, IT, FMCG, oil and gas, healthcare, pharma, consumer durables sectors have seen strong growth. In particular, Nifty IT has seen a jump of 710 points or 2.46 percent. While Bank Nifty saw a jump of 396 points or 0.89 percent. In today’s trade, the Nifty mid-cap index closed up 227 points or 0.64 per cent, while small-cap stocks also gained. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 27 closed higher while only 3 declined. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 39 stocks closed higher while 11 closed with losses.

2 lakh crore surge in investor wealth

In the last trading session of the week, the Sensex and Nifty have seen a huge jump in investor wealth after touching record highs. At the end of today’s trading, BSE’s market cap stood at Rs. 296.46 lakh crore has closed. Which is the historical record level so far. While in the last session the market cap of companies listed on BSE was Rs. 294.30 lakh crores. In today’s trading session, investors’ assets were Rs. 2.16 lakh crore has jumped.

How did today start?

The Sensex opened up 357.70 points at 64,273.12 and the Nifty up 99.50 points at 19,071.60 this morning. Power Grid Corp, Asian Paints, Infosys, M&M and HDFC Bank were the top gainers on the Nifty, while Bajaj Auto, HDFC Life, Apollo Hospitals, Eicher Motors and Nestle India were the top losers.
