Stock Market Closing On 22 June 2023: Indian shares have crashed today in thousands. Scott Market has closed with a red mark. The Sensex has seen a fall of 284 points while the Nifty has seen a fall of over 70 points.

After two days of strong growth, the Indian stock market has seen a decline due to profit booking again. The market is witnessing an all-round sell-off. Shares of Nifty Mid Cap Index have seen a big fall. The BSE Sensex closed at 63,238 points down 285 points at the end of today’s trade. While the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange closed at 18,771 with a decline of 86 points.

2 lakh crore loss to investors

Today’s big fall in the stock market has caused huge losses to investors. In today’s trade, BSE’s market cap fell to Rs. 292.30 lakh crore, which on Wednesday was Rs. 294.35 lakh crores. That is, in today’s trading session, investor wealth has decreased by 2.05 lakh crores.

Sectorol update
In today’s trade, shares of Banking, IT, FMCG, Pharma, Energy, Infra, Consumer Durables, Healthcare and Oil & Gas sectors closed lower. Only shares of metals and real estate sectors have seen a slight increase.

In today’s trade, Nifty Mid Cap Index and Small Cap have also seen a big fall. The mid-cap index closed down 380 points at 35,235 points. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 10 closed higher and 20 closed lower. 11 out of 50 Nifty stocks closed higher and 39 closed in the red.

How was the market condition in the morning?

A sell-off saw the domestic market lower on Thursday after reaching record highs and bearish signals from the US central bank. Both the major domestic indices BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty were seen in red mark as soon as they opened. BSE’s 30-share index Sensex fell over 70 points to close below 63,500 points when the market opened at 09:15 am. At the same time, the Nifty also fell below the 18,850-point level with a marginal decline.

In the early trading, shares of most of the Sensex companies were down. At 09:20 am, only 8 out of 30 Sensex companies were in the green zone, while 22 companies started trading in losses. In early trade today, major stocks like Tata Steel, Mahindra & Mahindra, ICICI Bank and Reliance were strong. On the other hand, IT stocks like Infosys, Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech, Wipro and banking-finance stocks like Bajaj Finance, Kotak Bank, Axis Bank saw a decline.
