Stock Market Closing, 18^th July, 2023: Tuesday was the second day of the week for the Indian stock market. Sensex and Nifty made new highs again today. The Sensex touched an all-time high of 67,000 for the first time today, though the market fell to close below 67,000 as profit booking came from the upper level. Today, despite the rise in the market, the wealth of investors has decreased. Yesterday’s investor wealth was 303.59 lakh crore, which today has increased to 303.12 lakh crore.

Today Sensex closed up 205.21 points at 66,795.14 points and Nifty up 37.80 points at 17,749.25 points. Before this, the Sensex had increased by 1000 points in the last two business sessions.

Nifty rising-falling stocks

Today 1384 shares gained, 1958 shares declined and 118 shares were unchanged. Infosys, Asian Paints, HCL Technology, Reliance Industries and Hero MotoCorp were the Nifty’s top gainers, while LTI Mind Tree, Britannia Industries, State Bank of India, HDFC Life and Titan were the top performing stocks on the Nifty. The BSE Midcap index closed flat.

How was the market opening?

BSE’s 30-share index Sensex opened up 239.03 points, or 0.36 per cent, at 66,828.96, its all-time high, in early trading today. Apart from this, NSE’s 50-share index Nifty managed to open at 19,787.50 with an increase of 76.05 points or 0.39 per cent. This was also his new record high.
