Stock Market Closing, 11^th June 2023: The second day of the week and Tuesday proved to be auspicious for the Indian stock market. Today, the share of Reliance Industries reached an all-time high. Due to the rise in Sensex today, the wealth of investors has once again crossed 300 lakh crores.

Why did the stock market boom today?

Indian stock market index Sensex rose 273.67 points to close at 65617.84 points and Nifty rose 83.5 points to close at 19439.40 points. Mid-cap and small-cap stocks rose handsomely in today’s trade. Buying in auto, FMCG and energy sectors led the market to rally. Reliance shares hit an all-time high on second consecutive trading day of buying.

How many shares increased, decreased today

Today 1892 shares gained, 1496 shares declined and 117 shares were unchanged. Among the Nifty’s top gainers were Sun Pharma, Eicher Motors, Tata Consumer Products, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise and Maruti Suzuki. While UPL, JSW Steel, Bajaj Finance, Exic Bank, HCL Technology were the performing stocks. All sectors including Mater and PSU Bank closed in the green. BSE Midcap and Smallcap gained around 1 percent.

Investors’ wealth

Investors’ wealth stood at Rs 301.34 lakh crore as the market closed higher at the end of today’s trading day, as against Rs 299.60 lakh crore yesterday. That is, the wealth of investors has increased by 1.74 lakh crore rupees. The market cap on Thursday was 299.68 lakh crore.

How was the start of the market?

In today’s trade, the BSE Sensex opened up 254.48 points or 0.39 per cent at 65,598.65 and the NSE Nifty opened up 71.20 points or 0.37 per cent at 19,427.10.
