Stock Market Closing: The market was up for the seventh consecutive day. Nifty has made a new high. Sensex has also crossed 65500. The market has received support from the oil and gas and realty sectors. Today again the market has closed with a green signal. The Sensex rose 339.60 points to close at an all-time high of 65,785.64 while the Nifty settled at 19,497.30.

Thursday’s trading session also proved to be historic for the Indian stock market. Buying in banking, energy and auto stocks led the stock market to reach new all-time highs. Both Sensex and Nifty closed at their new record highs. At the end of today’s trade, the BSE Sensex rose 339.60 points to close at 65,785.64 and the National Stock Exchange Nifty rose 98.80 points to close at 19,497.30.

A huge jump in investor wealth

In today’s trade, the investor’s assets are Rs. A surge of 1.70 lakh crores has been seen. Companies listed on BSE have a market cap of Rs. 301.70 lakh crore has closed. While on Wednesday it closed at Rs 300.12 lakh crore. For the first time on Wednesday, stocks listed on BSE had a market cap of Rs. It managed to cross 300 lakh crores.

Sector update

Today’s trade saw heavy buying in energy sector stocks, particularly Reliance Industries and other oil marketing companies. Due to which the Nifty Energy Index closed at 25,575 points with a jump of 540 points. This sector has been an important contributor in boosting the market. Apart from this, buying was seen in shares of banking, auto, pharma, metals, media, infra sectors.

How was the market condition in the morning?

The Indian stock market witnessed sluggish business today and the market opened with a marginal decline. Bank Nifty also opened above 45,000 with a decline of around 100 points. As soon as the market opened, the Sensex also went below 65400 in the opening minutes and was seen trading in a choppy fashion. BSE’s 30-share index opened down 54.16 points at 65,391 in today’s trade. On the other hand, NSE’s 50-share index Nifty was trading marginally lower by 12.80 points at 19,385.
