The Union Food Ministry has decided to sell gram dal at subsidized prices in the country. The government has decided to sell gram dal under the name ‘Bharat Dal’ at a low price in the market. In which the government will save gram dal at the rate of 60 rupees per kg. While a 30 kg package will be sold at Rs 55 per kg. It is to be noted that gram dal is being sold at low price by NAFED in Delhi-NCR. Apart from this, Bharat Dal will also be sold at successful centers of NCCF, Kendriya Bhandar and Mother Dairy. Union Consumer Food and Public Distribution Minister Piyush Goyal has said that cheaper gram dal will be sold in the country under the Bharat Dal brand. In this, the government will provide cheap gram dal to the common people. The dal will be sold at 703 NAFED stores across the country. The government is embarking on an exercise to provide relief to consumers by converting its stocks of chickpeas into gram dal.
