Railway Passengers Should Pay Attention You Can Book Tickets Online Not Till 3.45 Hours Know The Details

Indian Railway Ticket Booking Counter: If you are going to book a train ticket to travel somewhere today, you may face a problem, as internet bookings are affected after dinetime activities at the Passenger Reservation System (PRS) data center in Kolkata. Many states will be affected by this. However, it will not be affected in some states. Many jobs are likely to be affected due to closure of PRS.

For how long the booking will be closed

PRS will be closed for a period of three hours and 45 minutes. Passengers will not be able to book their tickets through online mode between 08th July 2023 Saturday 23:45 hrs to 09th July 2023 Sunday 03:30 am.

In which states will PRS be closed?

Stopping online booking will affect many states. It includes West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam, Sikkim, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura and parts of Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra. Its effect will not be seen in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and other states. Talking about the railway area, it will be on Eastern Railway (ER), South Eastern Railway (SER), East Coast Railway (ECOR), South East Central Railway (SECR), Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) and East Central Railway (ECR) zones.

Shutdown of PRS system will affect many services

Many services have been affected due to the closure of the Passenger Reservation System (PRS). Internet booking, current booking, enquiry, charting and other services will be affected. However, passengers will be able to purchase tickets for local trains from the mobile app. Besides, tickets can also be bought from the railway station counter.

These trains were diverted

Railways has diverted many trains due to four hour traffic block from 07th July, 2023 to 09th July, 2023.
