If you have heard or read somewhere that government is giving money to common people under free smartphone scheme 2023. This information is totally wrong. PIB says this claim is false. In such a situation you need to be careful. PIB issued a warning saying that this message is fake. This may be an attempt at forgery. Do not share your personal or financial information with anyone.

Free Smartphone Scheme 2023 is fake-

A YouTube channel government vlog video claims that under the ‘Free Smartphone Scheme 2023’, the central government is giving 10,200 rupees in their accounts to 2 members of each family to get a smartphone. It is not like that at all. The government does not run any such scheme. No phone available on ration card. Dissemination of such information is an offense under the law.
