Indian Railways IRCTC Meal: There is big news for railway passengers. Now Railways will provide full meals at very cheap prices to passengers traveling in ordinary coaches. This new scheme of railways is planned to be started at all the railway stations of the country. However, it is planned to start it as a trial in some places only.

Indian Railways will provide cheap food to passengers through stalls. This stall will be installed in front of the general coach, so that the passengers will not have to go far. A railway official said that it will be calculated according to the condition of the general coach, so that passengers do not have to travel far. The scheme is planned to be launched as a pilot project.

It is often seen that passengers traveling in general coaches face food and drink problems. They do not get clean food due to non-availability of things easily. In such a situation, Railways has planned to provide cheap food and water. Passengers will get a full meal for just Rs.20. For 20 rupees, passengers will get an “economy food”, consisting of seven puris, potato salad and pickle.

50 Breakfast meal in Rs

This stall will serve not only Puri but also items like Rajma Chawal, Masala Dosa and Kule. Bhat-rajma or chole rice, khichdi, kule, chole-bhature, pav bhaji and masala dosa will be served under the breakfast meal for Rs 50. Any of these items up to 350 grams can be taken for Rs.50. Railways have advised IRCTC zones to provide packed water to passengers.

64 Cheap food will be available at the stations

Indian Railways has selected 64 railway stations to start this scheme. First it will be started at these railway stations for six months. Later it will be started at other railway stations. 29 stations in East Zone, 10 Stations in North Zone, 3 Stations in South Central Zone, 9 Stations in South Zone, where cheap food will be available.
