Employees Provident Fund Organisation: UAN number is required for EPFO account, if you are employed, a part of your salary is deposited in EPFO account. You can withdraw this money after retirement or as needed during employment. Employees Provident Fund Organization gives Universal Account Number to all its account holders.

Through this number, you can get all information about your PF account. On the other hand, this account number is required if you want to do any work related to the account.

Just as UAN number is required for EPFO account, valid bank account is also required. Many times wrong bank account is linked with UAN number. In this case, you can easily change this linked account number. For this you have to follow some simple steps. Let’s know how to correct wrong account linked with UAN number-

After this enter the UAN number and password.
Next you click on the Manage tab. Then you will see a drop down menu.
By going to this menu you select the option of KYC.
Next, you will get an option to select the bank with which you want to link your UAN number.
After this fill your bank account number, IFSC code etc details. Then save it.
After this this information will be approved by the company (employer).
Finally, you will see the new bank details in the KYC section.
If your company doesn’t allow it, you can easily complain about it by going to EPF Grievance.
UAN number is given only once.

Let us tell you that Employees Provident Fund Organization issues its UAN number only once to its subscribers. This is a 12 digit unique number which cannot be changed even after changing jobs. All Member IDs of an employee are linked to only one number. In such a situation, all accounts can be operated with UAN number only. Through this number, you can easily get details of EPF account, balance check etc. Along with this, the withdrawal information from the PF account can also be obtained through the UAN number.
