Digital Banking Fraud: With the increasing use of digital banking, the cases of banking fraud have also increased. Cases of various types of fraud keep coming up. In a recent case, criminals posing as bank officials extorted a Nagpur man of around Rs. 10 lakh was cheated. Such cases happen frequently. SBI has alerted its customers about this and told about measures to avoid falling prey to fraud.
10 lakh fraud in a recent case
First of all let us tell you about this incident. In this case, the crook made a phone call as a bank official. He told the customer that he works to protect against banking fraud. While talking, he took debit card and bank account details from the victim. After which the thugs withdrew 9.66 lakh rupees from the victim’s bank account.

This is not the first case of this kind. These gangsters who target innocent people keep fighting with different tactics. Sometimes they lure customers into greed and sometimes they use their fear. There have been several cases where victims shared the OTP as a lure. In many cases, people themselves provided information about their banking details.
