Cyclone Biparjoy destroys housewives’ budgets, vegetable prices skyrocket as income plummets

Vegetable Price Hike: The effect of monsoon is now being seen on the budget of housewives as well. The budget of the housewives has deteriorated due to the increase in the price of vegetables. Due to the impact of the cyclone, the prices of vegetables have increased due to the decrease in income. In Ahmedabad, the price of vegetables has increased by 30 percent. Due to which budget is disrupted. Ginger is currently being sold at Rs 300 per kg in the market. Ginger mostly comes from Bangalore. The price of which has suddenly risen. On the other hand, tomato has also doubled. 40 rupees tomato is available at 80 rupees a kg. 50

It is to be noted that the damage due to the cyclone that hit Kutch is estimated to be two thousand crores. Damage survey work was carried out by 748 teams in different areas of the district. 43,234 beneficiaries in the district have been paid the amount of cash dolls. More than 3701 houses have been surveyed for raw material house assistance.
