Big relief in inflation, wholesale inflation falls to 8-year low, Know What Happened Cheap

WPI Inflation: The wholesale price index eased sharply in June and fell to an 8-year low. The wholesale inflation rate has come down to -4.12 percent in June. In the previous month i.e. May, the rate of wholesale inflation was -3.8 percent. This is the third consecutive month that the wholesale inflation rate has turned negative. After falling to an 8-year low, some relief can be seen on the inflation front. The data shows which articles have seen a decline in the inflation rate. This is mainly due to decline in prices of mineral oil, foodstuff, base metals, crude petroleum and natural gas. Apart from this, the prices of textiles have also gone down, the effect of which is being seen in the form of reduction in the inflation rate.

Food items in the country Inflation rate has also come down and it came down to 1.24 percent in June from 1.59 percent in May.

Inflation rate of fuel and power segment has also seen a decline and it has come down to -12.63 percent in June.

Inflation rate of primary goods decreased to 2.87 percent.

Inflation rate of manufacturing products

Inflation of manufacturing products fell to -2.71 percent in June from -2.97 percent in May.

Headline inflation remained below zero for the third consecutive month

This is the third consecutive month when Wholesale price-based inflation is below zero. It was -0.92 percent in April and it declined to -3.8 percent in May. While the wholesale inflation rate has come down to -4.12 percent in June.
