Amazon Jobs: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to the US has led to deals worth billions of dollars in India, with one company promising to provide millions of jobs in India during the visit. The giant e-commerce company Amazon has assured to provide 20 lakh jobs in India instead of 4-5 lakh. This information has been given by the Minister of State for IT, Rajeev Chandrasekhar in a tweet.

Under this, by the year 2030, investment of $26 billion and 20 lakh jobs will be created in India. A top official of e-commerce company Amazon has said that the company plans to invest an additional $15 billion in India, taking the company’s total investment in India to $26 billion. After meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the US, Amazon Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Andy Jesse said that the company has already invested $11 billion in India.
Amazon is keen to partner in India
“I had a very good and meaningful conversation with Prime Minister Modi and I think we have many goals in common,” he said on Friday. Amazon is one of the largest investors in India. We have invested $11 billion so far and we intend to invest another $15 billion, taking the total to $26 billion. So we are very excited about the future of the partnership.

India’s Ministry of External Affairs also tweeted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a meaningful meeting with the Chairman and CEO of Amazon. “Discussions focused on the possibility of expanding cooperation with Amazon in the logistics sector and e-commerce sector in India,” the Ministry of External Affairs tweeted. Modi welcomed Amazon’s initiative to promote digitization of MSMEs in India.
