Bakra Eid Market Holiday, Markets Will Remain Closed Today, Trading Will Not Happen On These Exchanges Including NSE-BSE

Stock market holiday: Indian stock markets will be closed on Thursday. Due to Bakri Eid, there will be a holiday in the capital market as well as in the financial market. Under this, there will be no trading in currency derivatives including equity derivatives on BSE and NSE. Along with this, the forex market will also be closed. Now tomorrow i.e. 30th June all the markets will open.

Along with equity markets, currency and commodity markets are also off. Trading in the currency market will take place on June 30. At the same time, morning session will be closed for trading on MCX. But the business will start from evening. Under this commodity market will open from 5 pm, which will remain open till 11:30/11:55 pm.

The exchanges had earlier declared a holiday on Wednesday i.e. June 28 while Bakrid is on June 29. So at the last minute the date of the holiday was changed to 29th June. Due to which the monthly expiry was on Wednesday. The next public holiday in the market will be in August.

Yesterday, the market closed with a record high

The market saw a hat-trick of records on June expiry yesterday. Today Sensex, Nifty, Nifty Bank have reached new levels. Sensex, Nifty also closed at record highs. In today’s trade, metal, pharma, infra and energy stocks have seen strong gains. Buying is also seen in PSE, auto and banking stocks. Midcap and smallcap indices also closed higher.

Wednesday’s trading session proved to be historic for the stock market. After touching record highs, both the major market indices closed at new historical levels at the end of today’s trade. During the day’s trading, the BSE Sensex managed to cross 64,000 and the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty crossed the 19,000 mark for the first time. At the end of today’s trade, the BSE Sensex closed at 63,915 with a jump of 500 points and the Nifty 50 closed at 18,972 points with a jump of 155 points.

In yesterday’s trade, shares of Banking, Auto, IT, Pharma, FMCG, Metals, Energy, Infra, Commodity, Consumer Durables, Healthcare and Oil & Gas sectors closed higher. While the stocks of the media sector have seen a decline. Mid-cap and small-cap indices have seen a sharp rise. The Nifty Midcap closed up 224 or 0.63 per cent at 35,520 points. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 24 closed higher while 6 closed lower. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 42 closed higher and 8 closed lower.
