  • First case from Kutch – Married daughter and 70 year old father appeared for M.A. with Hindi at university in Bhuj

While the parents are making all efforts to make their children study and progress, they are teaching them at home as well. In Bhuj, a 70-year-old father, who hesitated to let his daughter study, has started her studies again and an inspiring case has come to light that the father and daughter took the MA exam along with Hindi at the university in Bhuj. Dr. Rishi Joshi, Assistant Regional Director of the Kutch Center of Baba Saheb Ambedkar Open University, informed that, A girl living in Bhuj and working in a private school needed higher education along with her job, so she had to do MA Hindi course.

But growing up seemed less conducive to studying alone when his father, a retired head master of Kendriya Vidyalaya’s Air Force School, Bhuj, spoke to 70-year-old Kamlesh Rajyaguru, and they both visited the Bhuj regional center last July and tried to find out if there was any age bar for admission to Hindi, only to learn that there was no upper age limit for studying in the Open University.

To support his daughter, the 70-year-old father enrolled in the course from August and with a timeliness that would put a young student to shame, the father-daughter duo cleared their first year exams at Bhuj Regional Center recently in July. It is the first case of Kutch that father and daughter have given the exam together. Students also got inspiration from this pair for higher studies.

The teacher has also published two books
70 years old Kamlesh Rajyaguru is originally from Bhavnagar but settled in Kutch as a teacher. He was initially posted as a teacher in Nalia Air Force School and later retired from Bhuj Kendriya Vidyalaya.
