Dr. Kaladhar Arya was nominated in the Senate Donor section and has withdrawn the nomination form on the instructions given by the leaders of the state BJP and the city BJP. It may be mentioned here that in the donor division, two seats have been going to BJP and one seat to Congress for the last two decades. Afraid of contesting elections, both the leaders of Congress-BJP try to compromise and become unopposed. This time too, the election is stalled at the last minute.
CM visited Rajkot airport
In a video conference held with the Rajkot Airport Authority, Chairman Sanjeev Kumar has announced that Herasar Greenfield Airport has been renamed as Rajkot International Airport. Hence, now this airport will be known as Rajkot International Airport. At the artistic terminal building erected at the airport, the areas including arrival and departure have been equipped with signages. Apart from security barriers and trolley facilities in the terminal, various offices have been equipped. Airport Authority Chairman Sanjivkumar Hirasar has already visited the airport and the final inspection process was carried out by a team of DGCA. It is worth mentioning here that it is going to be launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 27, for which preparations are going on in full swing.
The election votes will be counted tomorrow
Voting was held at Rajkot, Jamnagar, Morbi, Surendranagar and Amreli district headquarters in two seats in the two seats of the Secondary Principal of Saurashtra University Senate. In this election, elections were held between Sanjay Pandya of Rajkot, Tushar Pandya, Medhalben Seth of Jamnagar, Nayan Virda of Rajkot village Jetalsar village. The panel of Sanjay Pandya and Tushar Pandya was pitted against the panel of Meghalben Seth and Nayan Virda in the election. BJP and Sangh have supported Sanjay Pandya and Tushar Pandya. While some candidates are getting the support of the educational organization, the academic leaders of the group are pushing hard to win their candidate. It is worth mentioning that in the election of the two seats of secondary teachers, which will be held along with the election of the principal, the independent candidate Chirantan Korat of Jetpur and Bharatbhai Makwana of Amreli are unopposed, so the voting of the election held today will be counted tomorrow.
Pressure relief operation started
The enforcement branch of the Rajkot Municipal Corporation has carried out confiscation of rake-cabins, other items, vegetables-fruits and green given to animals, board-banners etc. which are oppressive on public roads at different places in the city from 18th to 20th July. In which 27 racks/cabins and other 20 miscellaneous items have been seized on the road. While 70 kg of vegetables have been seized. Rs 27,800 has been charged as mandap arch shelf rent. Besides, 309 board-banners were seized from Kotecha Chowk, Atal Biharibajpai Hall, Racecourse Ring Road, Tagore Road, Trikon Bagh, Moti Tank Chowk, Limda Chowk, Gondal Road.
