Chhota Udepur district witnessed a stormy atmosphere during the day today. After two o’clock in the afternoon the weather turned and there was widespread rain in the district. At that time, the rain was pouring down in Sankheda. Three and a half inches of rain fell between 2 pm and 6 pm. Following heavy rains, roads in Sankheda turned into rivers and low-lying areas were flooded.

Due to heavy rain in Sankheda, water entered the Sarvodaya Kumar hostel as well. The hostel compound was flooded. So the children of the hostel are facing great difficulty in moving around. Apart from this, it is the turn of children to face great difficulties as water enters the children’s room and kitchen.
