The third round of rain in Gujarat has already started with a bang. After more than 125 talukas of the state received rain on Tuesday, the Meteorological Department has predicted universal rain in the state today. Orange alert has been declared in some districts of Saurashtra and South Gujarat today on Wednesday.

Orange alert declared in five districts
The Meteorological Department has predicted universal rainfall in the state for the next five days. During these days, the possibility of heavy to very heavy rain has also been indicated in some districts. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert in Surat, Bharuch, Gir Somnath, Junagadh and Amreli on Wednesday. Heavy rains are predicted in these districts. While there will be normal rain in other parts of the state as well. The possibility of heavy rain has been expressed in Amreli, Bhavnagar and Valsad districts of South Gujarat from July 19 to July 21.

44 reservoirs of the state on high alert
Due to significant rainfall in Gujarat this season, 206 reservoirs of the state have received significant water inflow. In which 43 reservoirs have been kept on high alert, 18 reservoirs on alert and 19 reservoirs on warning by the irrigation department.

71 percent planting of kharif crop completed
All the zones in the state have received rain suitable for sowing. Due to which the sowing work is going on in full swing. According to the Agriculture Department, compared to the previous year, 71 percent sowing has been completed against the normal cultivated area this year.
