Stock Market Today: The domestic stock market got off to a good start on the first business day of the week today, trading at record highs. The NSE Nifty opened at a new all-time high of 19612. The Sensex is trading near all-time highs.

Today’s trade started on a strong note with the NSE Nifty opening at a record high of 19,612.15, up 47.65 points or 0.24 per cent. BSE’s Sensex also opened at 66,148.18 with an increase of 87.28 points or 0.13 percent.

US market
Weakness was observed in the market here on Friday. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq indices closed lower even after strong results from major banks. However, the Dow Jones closed up about 0.33%. Prior to this, the news of softening inflation had seen a bullish trend in the last 4 trading sessions.
European market
European stock markets closed lower on Friday after five sessions of gains. The Stoxx 600 index closed down 0.1 percent. Recent gains in tech stocks were sustained. This was up 1.2 percent, while telecom shares fell 1.3 percent after Nokia cut its sales and margin outlook and Ericsson downgraded its results. Oil and gas fell 2.1 percent and mining stocks fell 1 percent.
Asian market
Asian markets are witnessing mixed business. Gift Nifty is seeing an increase of 16.50 points. At the same time, the strait times showed weakness of 0.22 percent. The Taiwan market is trading up 0.27 percent at 17,330.13. At the same time, the Kospi is trading down 0.35 percent.

Continued buying from foreign institutional investors continued this month. On Friday, FIIs invested Rs. 2,636.43 crore worth of shares were bought. Whereas, DII on this day cash market Rs. 772.45 crore worth of shares were sold.
