Former Collector S.K. After Langa’s five-day remand was granted, the police have started intensive interrogation. To investigate the case, the SIT headed by the District Police Superintendent conducted a marathon interrogation of Langa for hours and Langa stayed overnight in the lockup of the Sector-7 police station.
A case has been registered against retired collector Langa in Sector-7 police station of Gandhinagar. So his custody is for Sector-7 Police. At one time there were employees running back and forth to the Langa and there was VIP facility for them everywhere. However, now he has to spend days in police lockup like a common accused.
According to information from police sources, Langa has been kept in the Sector-7 police lockup. He stayed here the first night after the remand was granted. The SIT team took him for questioning around eight o’clock in the early morning on Thursday. Various questions were asked to Langa at places including the district police headquarters. Police are carrying thousands of pages of documents to question Langa.
In these high profile cases, the interrogation is conducted only in the presence of the SP or DySP. After about 12-14 hours of interrogation, the SIT team handed Langa over to Sector-7 police late at night. However, it has been learned from sources that the Langa police gave vague answers in the marathon interrogation.
