- 1 cup raw
- 1 cup sweet corn
- 1/4 cup chillies
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 green chillies
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes
- 1/2 tsp roasted cumin seeds
- 4 pieces of bread crumbs
- Oil for frying
- Salt to taste
method of making
To make Sooji Corn Tikki, first you chop the chillies, onions and green chillies into fine pieces. After this take the sweet corn and mix it in a mixer jar and then grind it finely. Now take a pan and mix water in it and heat it on medium gas. When the water is hot, mix ground corn, onion, rava, shimla chilli and stir it. Mix oil, chili flakes and salt to taste. If the mixture thickens well, switch off the gas. Now let it cool down and mix it like flour with both hands. Your tikki mixture is ready. Now take oil in hand and shape it into a tikki and rub it in the bread crumbs. Prepare all the tikkis in a plate like this. Then deep fry it on medium gas. In 1-2 minutes the tikki will turn golden brown in color. Take it out on a plate and serve the tikki hot. You can serve it with sauce or green chutney.
