Farmers of Raneda village in Chhota Udepur district are adopting cow-based farming and making life necessities from cow dung and have taken a step towards organic farming. Some farmers are turning to organic farming and cow-based farming. Then a farmer from Raneda village of Naswadi taluk of Chhota Udepur district is taking a step forward and doing cow-based farming.

The most harmless animal on earth is the cow. Gir songs of our Gujarat and Saurashtra are praised all over the world. The king of Bhavnagar gifted a cow to Brazil at that time and its species still exists in Brazil. This case is well known. In our Gujarat, cow is considered as a member of the household in farmers’ households. Rakeshbhai Rathwa, a resident of Raneda village in Naswadi taluk, is engaged in organic farming and cow-based farming, and cow husbandry and manufactures various products from cow urine and cow dung and supplies these products to various gatherings and exhibitions under the Cottage and Village Industries Department. 3 other farmers are also involved in the cow sacrifice.

Rakeshbhai got this inspiration through the Gauseva movement-Vadodara. They make and sell various items from Panchagavya like kodia, lamp, gonail, panchamrut, havan kanda, mobile anti-radiation stand, toran, soap etc. In this institution of theirs, not only the mother cow, but all the cow breeds including bulls, bulls, calves are concerned. Each meeting of this Gauseva Committee is conducted by reciting the cow verse given in the Rigveda. Cow is mentioned 1331 times in the four Vedas and they said about the Panchagavya that the Panchagavya has such power that it will make India disease-free, debt-free and create a self-reliant India. Lamps lit from cow ghee rid the atmosphere of bacteria.

Rakeshbhai himself makes all these items by embossing machine using cow dung daily. For this he has taken training in Nagpur. They have made an idol of Ganapati from cow dung which is very popular during Ganapati festival. This murti is eco friendly and it becomes natural fertilizer by immersing it in river or Tulsi Kyara. In today’s age, people want to do everything for their health. However, one cannot avoid vegetables containing poisoned manure. The effect of toxic chemical fertilizers is very high in cauliflower, flower and brinjal and we eat them as green vegetables as they are beneficial for health. At present, Rakeshbhai Rathwa is involved in Atma Project of Govt. He is also serving as a master trainer promoting natural farming. In which they create cow urine based dasaparni extract and neemastra fertilizer and create awareness among the farmers.
