Yesterday, on the first day of the two-day U-20 Mayoral Summit being held under the G-20 on the outskirts of Ahmedabad, the world’s first World Heritage City, the delegates from home and abroad saw the historical heritage of Ahmedabad through ‘Heritage Walk’. So the tree plantation program was held on the second day today. In which 94 delegates participated and planted 96 trees. Apart from this, foreign guests shared their experiences in India before the media and made their handprints on clay-prints.

This approach of preserving the environment by planting trees is that of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. In this U-20, tree plantation has been done by AMC since early morning by mayors, officials and dignitaries from home and abroad. Along with this, their toenails have been taken, which will be kept in a list form.

On the second day of the two-day U-20 Mayoral Summit held under G-20, a tree plantation program was organized at the garden near Solabhagwat. In which all the guests who arrived in India from abroad were welcomed with flowers and drums. A total of 94 delegates participated in this tree plantation. In which a total of 96 trees were planted. Two types of trees, Milingunia and Bigunia, were planted. These trees provide oxygen, and this improves air quality. Students of various colleges participated in the program as volunteers. At the beginning of the program, the Mayor of Ahmedabad started the program by planting trees, after which the delegates also planted trees.

It was also planned that delegates could get their handprints on clay-prints after tree planting to make it memorable. Where each delegate put his handprint and wrote his name. He also spoke to the college students and took pictures with them. Tea-coffee, juice and coconut water were arranged for the delegates at Vriksarabad. Asking the delegates about their experience of coming to India, he said that their experience of coming to India was very good and they got to know a lot.
