The news related to railway food menu regarding Shravan is going viral fast. It is being claimed that passengers will not get non-veg food in trains during Shravan. IRCTC has denied such claims in a tweet. There were reports that only vegetarian food would be served to passengers in Bihar during the month of ‘Shravan’. The news is claiming that the IRCTC in Bihar’s Bhagalpur has announced that only vegetarian meals will be served to passengers in trains during ‘Shravan’.

After these reports went viral, IRCTC took to Twitter to deny these claims. IRCTC said that no such notification has been issued by the department. IRCTC wrote in a Twitter post that no such notification has been issued. All approved items are available for sale to passengers from the food unit.

A viral media report was also saying that food will be served without onions and garlic in the month of Shravan. Fruits will also be provided. This system will be applicable during Shravan month. Non-vegetarian food will be stopped from July 4 as soon as Shravan begins. Cleanliness will be taken care of. IRCTC has denied all these claims.

IRCTC clarified on Twitter that no such notification has been issued by IRCTC. All approved items are available for sale to passengers from the food unit.
