New water has started coming into Ukai Dam. At present, more than 11 thousand cusecs of water is being pumped into the dam. Upstream of Ukai, an average of one and a half inches of rain has started to flow into the dam. Along with this, the water level in the dam has increased marginally to 308.52 feet.

Rainfall averaged one and a half inches upstream of Ukai Dam
Water inflow has started in the Ukai Dam, similar to Jivadori in South Gujarat. Areas upstream of Ukai viz., 1 inch in Nizampur, 4 inches in Ukai, Sahda 1 inch, Chandpur 1.5 inch, Navadha 1 inch, Hathnur 0.5 inch, Dhulia 0.7 inch. 1.5 inches of rain fell in Khetiya and 0.5 inches in Akkalkuwa. It can be said that an average of one and a half inches of rain has fallen during this time.

When it rained, the water poured directly into the Ukai
This water was poured into the dam when it rained in the nearby area of ​​Ukai. Due to which 11,587 cusecs of water is currently flowing into the dam. Due to the inflow of water, the water level in the dam has increased from 308.22 feet to 308.52 feet. Thus, the dam is witnessing a slight rise in the water level. It is worth mentioning here that the water has started flowing in the area near Ukai as the water has been poured directly into Ukai. On the other hand, release of water from the dam for agriculture has been maintained.

The lowest level of the dam so far in the season
The inflow of water into the dam started due to torrential rains during the last two days in Nizar, Kukarmunda, upstream of the dam. Towards the end of June, at 1 pm on 30th June, for the first time this year, an inflow of 11587 cusecs of water started from the upriver, which has been sustained till now. This is the lowest level of the dam so far this rainy season.

557 mcm of water was released in the month of June
In Ukai Dam, a total of 3087 mcm of water was available in the dam on June 1, 2023. Which was 41.64% of total water storage capacity of 7414 mcm, while the dam surface was 314.40 feet. However, later in June, 1200 cusecs of water for irrigation was maintained through the canal to save the standing crop of the farmer in the month of June. Therefore, the dam level continued to decline and at the end of June 2023, the level of Ukai Dam was 308.22 feet, while the water storage was 2530 mcm. An estimated 557 mcm of water was drawn from Ukai Dam during the rainy season of this year during the month of June.
