Telegram: Social media instant messaging app Telegram is going to give its users a special feature once again. Telegram CEO Pavel Durov unveiled the next edition of the Stories feature in the popular messaging app. According to a report by GizmoChina, this new feature will start to be available to users in early July. The special thing is that these features were demanded by the users for a long time, now they are going to be available to all. It is also said that this feature was related to the integration of more stories.
Telegram did not intend to integrate this facility citing its ubiquitous presence on different platforms, but considering the demand of users, the company has decided to go ahead with it. The implementation of Stories on Telegram will give users the ability to control the visibility of Stories. From making it available to everyone, to just specific contacts or groups of close friends, Stories will appear in an expandable section at the top of users’ chat lists.
You will get these facilities –
In a user-friendly feature, Telegram will offer the option to hide stories posted by specific contacts, this can be done by moving specific contacts to the hidden list. Additionally, users can add captions, links and tag other users to their stories. A unique feature is being introduced that allows users to simultaneously post pictures and videos captured by both the front and rear cameras.
There will be an option to set the expiry date of the story –
In addition, users can set a time limit for their stories, with the option to make them disappear after 6, 12, 24 or 48 hours, with the option to permanently display stories on the user’s profile page, similar to Instagram’s Story Highlights feature. Telegram hopes that this feature will enrich user-profiles and promote closer relationships between contacts.
