The construction work of AIIMS Hospital in Rajkot is going on in full swing. In which OPD service is currently functioning. Also more than 250 tests including MRI and CT scan are being done at nominal cost. Also, the service for indoor patients is likely to start from September. Apart from this, a post-graduation and nursing course is going to be started in AIIMS hospital in a year or so. Then the Director of AIIMS Hospital Dr. CDS Katoch gave some important information in a conversation with the media.

Dr. According to Katoch, a large number of people are also availing the OPD services at AIIMS Hospital. Also many medical reports are being done at nominal cost. More than 250 tests, including MRI and CT scans, are currently being performed here. However, many reports in Delhi AIIMS are done completely free. But here at present only the cost is being charged. In course of time, the primary report will be made free of cost here as in Delhi AIIMS.

Along with this, a post graduation course is going to be started at AIIMS Hospital in the next year or so. It is also planned to start a nursing college of 60 seats next year. However, the infrastructure and building for this is yet to be found. But as per the agreement, if the necessary infrastructure and building is provided, the nursing college will definitely be started in the next year or so. Thus every year we will keep starting 2-3 new departments. He also claimed that AIIMS has a very negligible rate of treatment and reporting compared to any government or private hospital.
