  • In Mehsana district, 23700 hectares were planted last year, this year 19963 hectares were planted, a decrease of -3737 hectares.

So far 82,359 hectares have been sown against the estimate of 16.47 lakh hectares in North Gujarat for the monsoon season. Last year, 71,500 hectares were planted. That is, 10,859 hectares have been planted more than last year. Due to Biparjoy cyclone and pre-monsoon rains, the cultivation in Banaskantha and Mehsana districts has decreased this year as compared to last year. While the cultivation has increased in Sabarkantha, Aravalli and Patan districts.

Due to the rains accompanied by the cyclone, the situation of monsoon planting has changed in North Gujarat this year as compared to last year. 226.68% more planting has taken place in Aravalli. Plantation increased by 61.90% in Sabarkantha and 24.35% in Patan. While in Mehsana 15.77% and in Banaskantha 13% planting is less than last year. At the end of the monsoon season, 82,395 hectares have been sown against the estimate of 16.47 lakh hectares. That is, 5% of the season has been planted.

In which Sabarkantha has 23,152 (10.01%) hectares against an estimate of 2.31 lakh hectares, Mehsana has 19,963 (6.94%) hectares against an estimate of 2.87 lakh, Patan has 13,678 (4.32%) hectares against an estimate of 3.16 lakh, Aravalli has 8197 (4.06%) hectares against an estimate of 2.01 lakh and Banas. in the bank 17399 (2.85) hectares have been planted against an estimate of 6.10 lakhs.
