Scrap i.e., scrap goods are not consumed in finished goods and there has been a lot of goods coming from abroad and some mills have closed down due to which the prices of scrap have gone down. Such goods are lying in people’s houses and when such goods are sold, enough money is earned.

It may be mentioned that after the time of Corona, there was a huge jump in the price of scrap and during Diwali, the price of scrap was said to be good, but now there has been a huge decrease in the scrap goods in Porbandar. Bhaveshbhai Vithalani, a scrap dealer, said that the price of scrap has decreased by 30 to 60 percent.

Now a lot of goods have arrived from abroad and there is a lot of goods at Kandla port, Macchu dam is being renovated so some mills are closed in Morbi, raw goods are not being consumed due to which the prices have gone down. It is predicted that there will be such recession for another 2 months and the prices are likely to increase after monsoon.
