Scam of selling cargo vehicles on hire from owner busted, 6 nabbed with worth more than 4 crores | Inter-state scam of renting cargo vehicles including trucks from owner and selling them as scraps busted, 6 arrested with stolen goods of more than 4 crores

The crime branch has busted a scam of selling broken down spare parts of vehicles like trucks and tankers obtained on agreement from Gujarat and Rajasthan in two scrap yards near Ruda Transport Nagar and Maliyasan on Kuwadwarod in Rajkot and the police recovered from two scrap yards trucks, scrapped spare parts of broken down trucks including Rs. 6 persons from Rajkot, Keshod and Rajasthan have been arrested along with 4.05 crore worth of goods. Preliminary investigation has revealed that many crimes have been registered against the accused earlier.

The dumper was dismantled and turned into scrap
According to the police, there is information that the truck taken on hire contract from Gujarat, Rajasthan is being sold in a scrap yard near the overbridge near Maliasan on the Rajkot-Ahmedabad highway and in a scrap yard on Ruda Transportnagar Main Road in Nawagam after separating all the spare parts including engine, chassis, cabin and selling them. Crime Branch got it. After raiding and searching both sides of the wreckage, about 60 trucks, trailers, dumpers were broken into scraps, engine, chassis, body, large amount of wheel plates, diesel tanks and various spare parts of the vehicle were found.

Admitted to selling spare parts
In this matter, the manager of the scrap yard, Jamal Abdul Matar, Waseem alias Bacho Basirbhai Sama, and Imtiaz Amdbhai Agwan, the three persons admitted that they were selling the spare parts by breaking the vehicles without any permission, cancellation register papers or other supporting evidence. These vehicles were brought by a driver named Lalit Tulsiram Devmurari, a resident of Keshod, Junagadh, on hire agreement from transporters in Gujarat, Rajasthan. And the accused also admitted that such fraudulently acquired vehicles were sold to Jamal, Basir alias Bacho and Imtiaz at a nominal price in both the delas and later scrapped such vehicles and sold them as spare parts.

Three crimes were reported in Rajasthan and one in Rajkot
Police have arrested Lalit Devmurar of Keshod, Kishanlal Bhagwan Gadri of Chittorgarh, Rajasthan and Ishwar Rugnath Jat of Bhilwara, along with Jamal, Wasim and Imtiaz, who sold the vehicle along with Rs 4.05 crore from both the delas. The gang has admitted to wrecking 60 vehicles in the above manner so far. Three cases have been registered against this gang in Rajasthan and one in Rajkot.

Criminal history of the accused
Among the five accused arrested by the crime branch, the past is full of crimes. Among the 6 accused arrested in this scam, 12 crimes including assault, rape, cheating, alcohol have been registered against the main Manata Jamal Metar in cities including Rajkot, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Junagadh, Surendranagar and Devbhoomi Dwarka. While Waseem alias Bachcha is charged with 6 counts of assault, Arms Act, attempted murder, cheating, theft-gambling in Rajkot, Ahmedabad, while Imtiaz is charged with one count of cheating in Mundra-Kutch, accused Kishan is charged with cheating in Rajasthan and Rajkot, 4 counts of treachery and Bhilwara against Ishwar Jat. Police have taken necessary action after finding that a crime of cheating has been reported in Rajasthan.
