Vehicle drivers are facing a lot of trouble due to the inundation of rain water in the Himmatnagar to Udaipur railway underpass near Gambhoi in Himmatnagar taluk of Sabarkantha district.
A railway underpass has been constructed on the Himmatnagar to Bhiloda road, but this underpass gets waterlogged due to lack of rainwater drainage. Due to which the vehicle drivers have to suffer a lot. So for the last three days due to the aftershocks of Cyclone Biparjoy, it is raining with thunderstorms in Sabarkantha district. On the other hand, the railway underpass near Gambhoi has been filled with rain water. So the vehicles of the drivers passing through the underpass have to be pushed out after stopping.
The villagers of Surajpura, Vavadi, Lalpur, Hunj, Bankor, Manpur around the Himmatnagar-Udepur railway underpass are demanding that rainwater does not flow from the underpass. Railway department has requested to take action to remove it. Rain water also fills the underpass by two to five feet. Then it becomes difficult for two wheelers, four wheelers and rickshaws to pass through the water. Especially since there is a road from Gambhoi to Bhiloda, the vehicular traffic is high.
Then traffic is also seen due to filling of water. At that time, Babusinh Makwana and Vasant Suthar of Surajpura village said that due to filling of water in the underpass, there is also fear of passing by vehicle. If the vehicle stops, the vehicle has to be pushed out. During the monsoon season, the rainwater often fills up, but there is no mechanism for immediate evacuation of the water through the system. As a result this situation is created. Passing vehicle drivers and nearby villagers are becoming the victims.
