Due to Cyclone Biparjoy, 18 routes of ST buses were canceled for two days in 8 ST depots of three districts including 4 of Sabarkantha, 3 of Aravalli and 1 of Gandhinagar under Himmatnagar ST divisional office, but for one more day today evening i.e. tomorrow 16th June due to cyclone. An official of the ST department said that the routes have been canceled daily.

Cyclone Biparjoy is set to hit Gujarat in two days. Regarding this, the system is on alert in the coastal district. Now ST buses going to this district have been stopped. So, 18 ST bus routes have been canceled for three days on June 14, 15 and 16 in 8 ST depots of three districts under the control of Himmatnagar ST Divisional Office. In which two in Himmatnagar ST depot of Sabarkantha district, two in Idar ST depot, one in KhedBrahma ST depot, one in Prantij ST depot, 6 routes of ST bus in four depots in Sabarkantha district, 3 in Bhiloda ST depot of Aravalli district, 3 in Modasa ST depot and two in Baid ST depot. 8 routes in ST depot and 1 route in Mansa ST depot of Gandhinagar district have been cancelled.

Regarding this, Himmatnagar ST Divisional Office DC H.S. Joshi and DTO P.B. Chaudhary said that the routes of 18 ST buses from 8 depots have been cancelled. June 14 and 15 were canceled for two days, but due to a storm this evening, it has been decided to cancel 18 ST bus routes tomorrow i.e. June 16 as well. Due to which 18 routes have been canceled for one more day online i.e. 14th, 15th and 16th and the route will start as usual from 17th. Then a decision will be taken considering the next day’s situation and will be informed about it.
