Surat, the economic capital of Gujarat, is called a smart city. Scenes where a water tanker has arrived and people rush to fill water are usually seen, but you have never seen such a scene where there is a queue to take water in the toilet. But now those scenes have become common in Surat. There is such an area
of the toilet Line for water outside
It belongs to Udhana area of Surat city. In these pictures, you can see that outside the public toilet managed by Surat Municipal Corporation, people have reached to fill buckets and are filling water. This sight on public toilet is not a single day, but for the last several days people have been reaching the toilet every morning to fill water to do their household chores in the same way. Shivaji Nagar Jupadapattima, which falls under Udhana zone extension of Surat Municipal Corporation, has been stopped water supply by Municipal Corporation since May 19, due to which the people are facing a lot of trouble. To meet the domestic requirement of water, these people are doing their household work by carrying water from public toilets run by Surat Municipal Corporation outside the settlement with pipes or buckets. Pipelines and taps have also been laid by the Surat Municipal Corporation to provide this water, but even after almost a month has passed, not even a drop of water is coming from these taps.
Great difficulty without water
Pintubhai, who lives in Shivaji Nagar, said that he has been suffering since the water supply of the municipality was stopped. In the morning, they have to fetch water from the toilet to do their housework and if they do not get water from here, they fill water from somewhere else and earn their living. No one goes to see why there is no water in their settlement. Surat Municipal Corporation tankers bring water, but by the time it arrives, it is already afternoon. In the morning, water has to be filled from the toilet itself to do housework. They have to pay ten to twenty rupees to fill water even from public toilets.
of water Tanker But does not come on time
Local Dhanjibhai said that he is forced to draw water from the toilet for the house. There is no fixed time for the tanker water of the Metropolitan Municipality. So one has to pay money to fill the toilet. The water tanker sometimes comes at 11 o’clock and sometimes at 12 o’clock. Forced to fill water from toilet, what to do if water does not come.
