As the monsoon session starts from June 1, the villagers of Sisodara have submitted a petition to the District Collector and have requested to close the lease in the rivers before the rains come.
The people of Sisodara village said in a written complaint that as per our knowledge the lease is closed from 1st June 23rd throughout Gujarat during monsoon session. In our village the lease continues even in the monsoon season. Leased vehicles fill the road with about 40 to 50 tons of sand more than the KPCT, so that the road is badly potholed, and the road from Rajpipla to Sisodara and Sisodara to Kandaraj has become very bad. Sisodara to Kandaraj Road is constructed under Chief Minister Gram Sadak Yojana. Its capacity is about 10 tons, over which vehicles of about 40 to 50 tons run. How is that vehicle approved? Which we villagers do not understand.
Also our farms are located on this road. In the fields where the soil blows in abundance and damages the crops. Also, since the road is chained, we have a lot of difficulty in filling the cart with bananas. So if the lease is closed and the road is not built, the villagers will be forced to protest in the Gandhi way.
In this regard, farmer Amul Desai said that no lease should continue after 1/6. Even so, the lease continues in Sisodara village. Why is it not closed and overloaded with sand? The roads have become very bad, the crops are damaged by the road dust that blows up. The matter has been complained online and the villagers have also filed a complaint.
