A complaint has been registered in the book of Sector-21 police station that two robbers sitting on a bike after asking for a lift from Adiwara in Gandhinagar, took a young laborer hostage and beat him up and looted the bike, mobile phone and money near Sector-28 GIDC.
Another incident of robbery has occurred in Gandhinagar amid the increasing trend of theft and robbery day by day. Originally from Dungarpur, 23-year-old Someshwar Keuva works as a Koted (tribal) domestic worker in the bungalows of Gandhinagar Sector-3. As his wife has gone to the native land, Someshwar is currently living alone in the tribe.
At ten o’clock in the night of June 3rd, Someshwar finished work in Sector-3 and left for home with his bike. During that time, two unknown boys were holding a bike and standing near Adiwara three roads. And started asking to be dropped in GIDC. So Someshwar gave a lift to both of them.
According to whom Someshwar had parked the bike near the railway line in Sector-28 GIDC. And started going towards his house after taking off both of them. In that moment, both the boys caught him. One of them punched Someshwar in the head and mouth with a fet in his hand. Due to which Someshwar’s two teeth were broken and his lip was torn.
Later, both the robbers looted the bike, mobile phone and 50 rupees and threatened to kill them if they complain to the police. Someshwar, seriously injured by this attack, came walking to the main road. And sat in a rickshaw and went for civil treatment.
He was so shaken by this incident that he went to his brother-in-law’s house in fear. Later, the family members also came to Gandhinagar after getting information in their hometown. Following Someshwar’s complaint, the Sector-21 police have registered a case and are conducting further investigation.
