Paying more than the original price
According to the police, if any person advertised to sell his car on Facebook, the accused Rajendra Singh would contact him. He was willing to pay two-three thousand more than the original price of the car. So the car seller would immediately get ready to sell the car, and Rajendra Singh himself would pretend to be rich. For this, he used to keep a checkbook with him.
Give the check
If the car seller insisted for a cheque, he would give him a cheque, otherwise, he would take the car by giving the Aadhaar card of his old address, giving the assurance of payment in two-three days. After that, the mobile number that was in contact with the owner of the car was stopped. In this way, each used a different mobile number during the fraud.
3 car thefts in 6 months
The accused bought an I-20 from Hadmatala in Gondal, Chevrolet Astra from Palitana, and Polo car from Kuda village in Dhrangadhra in the last 6 months. On receiving information about this, the crime branch arrested the accused. The crime branch has also seized three fraudulently obtained cars from him. Also, the crime branch has requested people that while selling a car through an app, instead of directly relying on the customer, get proper proof, get the necessary documents written, and then sell the car.
